New to this and have so many questions

I went to the clinic on Aug.30th. I was told I'd be approved. I sent in my paperwork and fee. The check was cashed on the 8th of Sept. I was told by a couple people that it was taking upwards of 3-4 months to have a card sent to you and that if I just keep my paperwork with me I'm fine. I was also told to wait 18 days after the check is cashed to make sure I don't get a rejection letter. Should I pay for a membership?

I’ve been a member of the website for awhile and have yet to pay for a membership. The main reason being I work 3^rd shift with rotating days off making it difficult to attend monthly meetings not to mention “Private” events at paying member locations.
